Catching up

It certainly seems like well over a month since we attend the Nutcracker ballet in Nampa. Since, we have been twirling and leaping and galloping our way into the new year. Keira is dedicating hours a day to "dancing."

We are looking forward to a busy 2016, with a few exciting vacations on the horizon. We are busy planning an international trip and we will be escaping the gloomy, Idaho winter in two weeks for a tropical destination.

On a day to day basis, we are both attending preschool on Monday mornings at The Children's School, where Kiki is learning and growing, and so am I, as a parent in the parent portion of the class.

On the other end of the week, Kiki swims with Mickey on Friday mornings. She had a bit of regression from not swimming during the month of December, but I think she'll be happy to practice her skills in the warm waters of Maui soon.

The middle of the weeks are spent playing at home, grocery shopping, her trying to get me to turn on another Peppa Pig episode (new obsession), and finding friends for play dates. We are also finding so many good recipes from a new cookbook, A Modern Way to Eat. Highly recommended for anyone seeking out new vegetarian recipes that are doable on weeknights.

I hope to be back here more often, especially to share some photos from our vacation at the end of the month and maybe a few posts on planning an overseas trip with a child.

Happy 2016!
